Enough for almost everyone. Every enclosure, every show and the whole botanical garden are included. A full day inside is normal, and nothing about the standard ticket rushes you.

Twin Ticket, 78 €

Saves 14 € against the two entries bought separately, and it is the reason most visitors end up seeing both parks. Do not try to fit them into one day — they are an hour apart at opposite ends of the island.

Premium passes, 127–132 €

A guided tour plus extras. Worth it if you want the park explained rather than just walked, or if you are visiting once and want the day organised for you. Otherwise the money goes on comfort you may not need.

What is inside the park

A zoological park laid out as a subtropical garden, which is why it never feels like a queue between cages.

The parrots remain the signature: the collection is among the largest in the world and the reason the park exists at all. Around them the park has grown into aquariums, a penguin house, big cats, gorillas and the marine sections — the dolphins and orcas are what very few European parks can show, and they draw the biggest crowds of the day. The presentations last around 20 minutes each and run at fixed times, so the sensible approach is to look at the timetable when you arrive and plan the walking between them rather than the other way round.

The setting does a lot of the work: the whole park is planted as a subtropical garden, with shaded paths between the enclosures, and the north-coast climate keeps it green all year. Allow a full day; people who budget three hours almost always regret it.

Arriving at opening is the single best habit: the first hour is the quietest, and it lets you reach the marine sections before the crowd settles there.
